About Route & Room

Independent. Regional. Obsessive about the fare.

By the Route & Room editorial team · Last reviewed

Route & Room is an independent travel publication built around a simple idea: the best trips often start at a regional UK airport, not a London hub. We follow fares from airports across the UK, pair them with stays and experiences we would book ourselves, and publish only the escapes worth taking.

We are not a booking site and we do not sell flights. Our job is to find the signal in a noisy fare market: a price that is genuinely low against its own route history, on dates that work, with a stay that makes the trip.

What members get

The public guides explain where to go, when fares tend to be cheapest and what to do when you arrive. Members get the live verified fares, booking links and the full route dossier for the fares that qualify.

Read the membership FAQ for the difference between a free account and Insider, pricing and cancellation.

How we work

Every fare we publish is checked before it goes live. We compare it with what is normal for the route and season, and we reject itineraries that are cheap for the wrong reasons. Our editorial standards explain how we work; our fare verification page explains what that means for the prices you see.
